is this the only pink-colored monster? Manoo is not one of the better names (maybe Stan was thinking of Mr. Magoo!). And don't any the students see that monster at the window? Not one of the most exciting Kirby covers.

Manoo is only colored pink on the cover; he's yellow in the story. See Strange Worlds # 3 - The Creature From Planet X - for a monster who's also colored pink on the cover (but colored brown in the story)

Well, I would say that the Creature from Planet X in Strange Worlds #3 really isnt pink - he's orange (how unsual!) on the cover, but only “appears” pink when seen through his plexiglass cage.

The “Manoo ” story has some nice Kirby art. Not one of Kirby`s stronger monsters per se, but never the less a nice read.
Actually it`s never pointed out in the story but the school where this story took place is a school for the blind. The windows are triple pane to shut out the noise. `Cause how could the teacher not see the mighty ” Manoo ” sneaking along the window like a peeping tom and not hear when he landed his spaceship..? Just kidding, at the time when I first read the story I really enjoyed it. It`s only now that we can look back on it and have some fun with it.
