Ashley Hunt

History: In the “future” year 1965, physicist Ashley Hunt built a functional time-travel device. The greedy Hunt was motivated in using the time machine only for his personal benefit. Hunt travelled to ancient Egypt in the year 2700 B.C. to rob the tomb of Tut-Kin-Tut. Upon entering the tomb, Hunt realized that he would need explosives and supplies to remove the treasures. After returning to his present to retrieve the supplies, Hunt once again returned to the past and, due to a time paradox created by returning before he left, he met “himself” in the tomb. Fighting with his previous self, Hunt knocked his past-self out, then faded from existance (since his past-self never went back to the future to become him). The past-Hunt then awoke an amnesiac, wandering ancient Egypt and never remembering his true life more than 4000 years in the future.

Demonstrated Powers: Ashley Hunt had no special powers, but was a genius who constructed a fully functional time-travel device.

Equipment: “Time-machine” booth which allowed a single occupant to travel through time and space.

Comment: Speculation - Did Ashley Hunt regain his memory and later build the time-travelling “Chariot of Time” used by Hatap the Mad Pharaoh when Hatap fought Iron Man in Tales of Suspense # 44? (Although the Chariot of Time was said to be a magical device, to quote Arthur C. Clarke - “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistiguishable from magic”.)

For that matter, was Ashley Hunt responsible for the creation of the ancient time machine known as King Solomon's Frog (introduced in Black Panther (vol. 1) # 1) or any of the other advanced ancient technology found in King Solomon's Tomb?

well…. it seems i am not alone in this crazy world of Ashley's, it guess it is understandable… we have had our name in the top ten for about 25 years….i would like to see others accomplish that feat with being number one for a few times, and number two -four about fifteen times. Its quite amusing what you can find in your spare time at work. I too am another Ashley Hunt. My full name is Ashley John Victor Hunt (the Victor was my grandfathers first name) (not sure why the John). I live in London, England but originate from the West country and was born in 1970. It would be interesting to know if anyone has become successful in life (although some of you may still be too young to find this out). I am a Facilities Manager. This means that in basic terms that I look after the day to day running of an office building; which is quite good fun as you never know what the next phone call will be about. I also enjoy scuba diving and motorbikes for extra kicks. I wish you the best of luck in your own lives.

My daughter is 15 and she is also Ashley Danielle Hunt! So there's more than one of you!!! My Ashley was named after my grandfather who was an Ashley but not Hunt!
