Cyclops
History: Apparently the Cyclops from Greek mythology, this one-eyed giant would attack ships that sailed near his island in ancient times. Temporarily blinded by the Greek warrior, Ulysses, Cyclops was never heard from again. In present times, a man and a woman sailing in the Mediterranean Sea ran aground on a mysterious, uncharted island. While exploring, they discovered he body of Cyclops encased in ice. Chopping the ice to free the body, the man unwittingly freed Cyclops from suspended animation, bringing him back to life. Just as Cyclops was ready to menace a modern-day ship, the man taunted Cyclops into chasing him. He lured Cyclops into an icefield, where the ice shattered under Cyclops' weight. Cyclops plunged through the ice and returned to suspended animation.
Height: 50 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: Cyclops had great strength and could hurl boulders at passing ships.
Comment: The cyclops in Greek mythology who was blinded by Ulysses was named Polyphemus and was seen in Sub-Mariner # 29. Since this cyclops does not resemble that Polyphemus, this cyclops may not truly be the one who fought Ulysses.
Comment: “Cyclops” should not be confused with his possible relative, The Other Cyclops from Fantastic Four # 9, nor with the hero, Cyclops, introduced in X-Men # 1, nor with the giant alien robot, Cyclops, who fought Ant-Man and the Wasp in Tales to Astonish # 46, nor with the villain Psyklop introduced in Avengers (vol. 1) # 88.

Cyclops should not be confused with the Cyclops the golden age Vision fought in Marvel Mystery Comics#36(10/42) or the Cyclops/Herr Cyclops that Miss America fought in Marvel Mystery Comics#72(5/46).

I view That sewer-dwelling Cyclops that the Vision fought as some kind of Deviate mutate, maybe even an early Morlock, but I think I can explain This one away;remember how at at the beginning of this story,Duncan and Amanda passed through that thick fog-bank?(''So what,a little fog never hurt anybody!!''-apparently this guy never heard of the Andrea-Doria/Stockholm collision)My guess is that it was a portal to some alternate universe, similar to ''WE WERE TRAPPED IN THE TWILIGHT WORLD''story in Amazing Adventures#3,or maybe the Cyclops was an exiled Inhuman or somenthing, banished to a remote isle and imprisoned in the Ice,maybe the fog was a weakened Terrigen mist?.(I say weakened because it could help to explain why a ''rich spoiled child''like Duncan was able to summon enough strength to chip through extremely thick ice meant as a prison(durable enough to last for centuries, and in warm Meditteranean climates),climb up a mountainous hill, and run like the dickens,so maybe it temporarily gave him superhuman durability,or maybe he just had an adrenaline rush.),fun story though, and its not the last Greek myth story in the book either.
