The Creature From Planet X

History: In the year 2165, a large ape-like creature was discovered on Planet X and brought back to Earth where it was put on display in the city zoo. The creature was confined to a transparent, hermetically-sealed pressure dome because it could not breathe in Earth's atmosphere. One night, after the zoo closed, the creature succeeded in battering through the pressure dome; however, the creature's escape was short-lived as it soon passed out. Zoo officials were alerted to the creature's escape by alarm, and quickly put the unconscious monster in a new pressure dome.

Height: 20 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: The Creature had great strength and was able to punch its way out of its plastic cage. The Creature showed no other special abilities, and was unable to breathe the Earth's atmosphere.

Comment: Although the original Planet X (Xanth) was destroyed by a runaway asteroid in Fantastic Four # 7, in Marvel Feature # 11, it was revealed that the survivors of the disaster were relocated to another planet. Perhaps this new settlement was where this Creature was found in the future.
