The Dangerous Doll
History: An alien child ran off to Earth, where it was discovered by an impoverished man. Thinking the alien was an abandoned doll, the man took the”doll” home as a birthday present for his lame daughter. The “doll” came to life for the little girl, and had her bring it food and water. The girl told her father that the “doll” was alive, but the father thought it was all part of the girl's imagination. The girl continued to take care of the “doll”. One night, the “doll” climbed out of the girl's bed and went outside to meet the flying saucer of its parents. The “doll” told his parents how the girl took care of him, so they rewarded the girl by curing her lame leg and left a gold ingot for the father.
Height: 18 in.
Demonstrated Powers: The Doll could fire an energy beam which could put humans to sleep.
Comment: “The Dangerous Doll” should not be confused with Mister Doll, the villain who fought Iron Man in Tales of Suspense # 48.

You should really track down a copy of this. It's brilliant, but the best all-time Kirby monster yarn (at least in my opinion) has to be *I Created…SPORR! The Thing That Could Not Die!!!”
