The Luna Lizards
History: By the “future” year 1970, mankind had established a colony on the Moon within a plexiglass pressure dome. One day, the colonists discovered giant lizard-like footprints on the Moon's surface, followed by the appearace of large dinosaur creatures. Shortly thereafter, the pressure dome developed an air leak. Thinking the lizards to be a threat, one lone colonist volunteered to return to the rocket ship to retrieve the emergency air-supply tanks. After being pursued by the Luna Lizards, the colonist discovered the true intentions of the friendly creatures, who helped him carry the air-tanks back to the colony.
Height: 20 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: The tyrannosaur-like Luna Lizards (at least 4 in number) were intelligent and could communicate telepathically. The Luna Lizards could also survive in the airless enviornment of the Moon.
Comment: In Avengers (vol. 1) # 133, it was revealed that, centuries ago, the alien Kree race built the Blue City on Earth's moon (first seen in Fantastic Four (vol. 1) # 13, inhabited by the Watcher and, later, the Inhumans). Perhaps the Luna Lizards were some form of domesticated animal that the Kree brought with them.
Comment: It is possible that this lunar colony eventually became Tranquility City in the future (as seen in the Marvel: The Lost Generation mini-series).

They could also have been a wingless, pacifistic offshoot of the Makluan race. The latter might even have used it as a penal colony for such individuals ( between its abandonment by the Kree and its occupation by Uatu the Watcher)!

On second thought, they were more likely some of those dino-plant beings (from planet X-41), genetically altered and pacified by the Cotati.
