The Toad Men
History: An invasion force of the Toad Men landed on Earth as the invasion fleet orbited Earth. The invasion force crossed paths with Dr. Bruce Banner (see The Incredible Hulk), whom they kidnapped because they sensed him to be one of the planet's great scientific minds. Banner turned into the Hulk and destroyed the invaders' spaceship, but not before they could signal their invasion armada. The spaceships threatened to push the moon into the Earth with their manipulations of magnetic fields. Dr. Banner used the power of his “gamma ray gun” to cause the Toad Men to lose control of their ships, knocking them out of orbit into space.
The Hulk battled the Toad Men on other occasions, and once with his fellow members of the Defenders.
The villian Mysterio once sent his underlings costumed as the Toad Men to capture The She-Hulk.
Height: 4 ft.
Demonstrated Powers: The Toad Men displayed no special powers. They did have an advanced, militaristic society and had used their technology to master the control of magnetic fields.
Weapons:
* Spaceships
* Magnetic stun pistols
Comment: The Toad Men should not be confused with The Toad (the mutant villain introduced in X-Men # 4), nor with The Black Toad (the Golden Age villain introduced in Captain America # 7), nor with Brother Tode (the Deviant ruler introduced in The Eternals # 1).

For more Toad Men Wonderment (albeit in black & white) please check out issues of The Rampaging Hulk magazine from the eighties! These stories were later made “out of continuity” but they shouldn't been, since they're a lotta fun!

The mighty Toad Men Kirby on pencils and Ditko on inks, it don`t get any better than that !
These Kirby/Lee/Ditko stories might have been simple to read but always enjoyable. The art was always something to look forward to. But when you got a Kirby/Ditko story you knew you got a bonus. Two of the greatest artists ?
